Thank you to Debbie Millman for hosting the connection with National Novel Writing Month. I had great fun designing a cover and supporting the cause for Nanowrimo (National Novel Writing Month). Here is my cover:
This book cover’s design idea represents the idea of the main character (great-grandmother in her 90s) rocking in her rocking chair telling her life story in post-war Paris era. The Eiffel Tower has lights that are offset because her 90-year-old eyesight is failing. I chose a handwritten typeface that matches the post-war signage style represents her personal identity of searching for certain elements in her great-grandmother’s memoir.
